Built in 2008, the Hunter Marine Vessel Operations Center offers a 12,000 square foot warehouse and shop. The office structure is home to their state of the art training environment and Human Resource department. The operations center is the hub of Hunter Marine project management, vessel support and maintenance, crew dispatching.

Ron Hunter

In 1976, former drag racer and business man Ron Hunter, founded Hunter Marine Transport, Inc. with one boat and a few barges. For over 30 years, Hunter expanded by upgrading and replacing used equipment. In the fall of 2008, Hunter christened their first brand new towboat, the M/V James H. Hunter followed by the opening of their Paducah Operations Center. Their second new vessel, M/V Danny L.Whitford was christened in 2009. Ron and his dedicated staff continue to build their fleet serving as a mainstay of the Ohio, Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers.
